The Old Brown House is the one and only eclectic rustic bohemian micro wedding chapel in Los Angeles. We offer an all-inclusive experience, in a little handcrafted wood chapel, that is fantastically unique.
Our offerings include: Legal Weddings, Date-night recommitment ceremonies, Vow Renewals, and non-traditional unions of all kinds, including Yoga Weddings, Burning Man weddings, Pet weddings and self-partnership ceremonies (yes, that’s a thing!)
The Story behind the Story
We are Tess and Dan. We are both artists, and recently retired from our previous lives. Dan was a paramedic firefighter for 29 years and Tess was a filmmaker. In 2021, we bought an old white house in Highland Park with a crazy vision for opening an affordable Vegas-style micro wedding chapel with a barn wedding twist. We did most of the work ourselves. All the woodwork, the metal, the finish work, the landscaping, all of it. After almost two years of renovations, we opened the Old Brown House, a rustic and magical neighborhood wedding venue.
